Description:
This is an archive of application names and descriptive text, for every app in theĀ Music section of the iOS App Store, as of January 28, 2014. Each app has been categorized, by hand, into one of 66 categories. Screenshots for each app are also included.
This data can be used as ground truth to aid in the construction of text-based machine learning techniques or simply as a way of investigating the contents of the iOS App Store.
For more details about how the data was obtained and classified, please read the associated paperpublished at the ICMC/SMC 2014 Conference, as well as the 2013 paper at SMC.
