Abstract:

In this paper we present a series of experiments aiming at modifications of an existing augmented musical instrument entitled GuitarAMI. We use a single-board computer and a prototyping platform to embed hardware capable of performing audio capture, gestural data generation and process, synthesis and sound manipulation, as well as audio input/output to create an augmented musical instrument capable of performing complex audio manipulations without the use of external processors.
