Biography:
Fausto Borém, Professor at UFMG (Brazil), founded the Graduate Program in Music and the scholarly journal Per Musi. Senior researcher for CNPq for 3 decades. He has published 2 books, 14 book chapters, over 60 papers and many relevant music scores. He has played recitals and given lectures (Performance Analysis, Musicology and Music Pedagogy) in venues such as Jacobs School of Music, Eastman School of Music, Sorbonne, Paris Conservatoire, Universität der Kunste Berlin, University of Edinburgh, University of Iceland etc. He has accompanied concert and popular musicians such as Yo-Yo Ma, Midori, Menahen Pressler, Hermeto Pascoal and Egberto Gismonti.
